A Normal Survey (PROTOTYPE)
The survey that gets progressively more intense.
This is a short, mildly creepy game, but there’s a twist. There is nothing dark or evil. There is no enemy. There is no way to lose.
The questions get more intense as you go on, but you are in no danger at all.
— Backstory —
You are looking to download a pirated movie. After a little while of looking, you find a suspicious website and are forced to complete a captcha that asks you many questions. You need to complete all of them in order to download your movie.
— Development —
THIS GAME IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO DONE.
This was prototyped using an online quiz maker. I wanted to present my ideas before I go and release a full blown game about it. Quality is bad, but this is a playable build.
No pre-releases will be uploaded because it is a small project.
The final product will be made using GameMaker Studio 2, and will be playable on PC and Mac.
An Android release will be made using MIT App Inventor 2.
There will be no iOS build because I have to do a ton of legal stuff, and I’m not ready to fully commit to mobile development.

Despite being 3 years old, it's a mildly creepy/scary game. 8 outta ten, only cause it's not finished.
this is cool
typo lll
I'm planning on making a better version of this but it's 3D, there is actually horror, etc. I don't want to spoil the story so let's chat on Discord instead.

Sorry I have not been responding to anything for like the past year. I sent a discord friend request. I use DC a whole lot more, sorry about the inconvenience.
Not really scary, unless there was music and my volume was off.
not bad, i would just pay mind to grammatical errors (and typos?) in the future, maybe reread everything or have a friend read over everything for you to be sure. the concept is cool but not very original. i am looking forward to playing the complete game once it's done, though! good luck!!
LOL i don't have a backdoor XD
dude i live in an apartment aand it said that my back door is open i dont have a back door
lol i feel like after so many questions id eventually be like "Meh, this movie isn't that interesting ig.."
Edit: Sadly I am stuck on the initial "Loading..." page. Idk why but nothing is happening after click the link
hah i don't have a back door
Same😭
very creepy and strange its a good game 10/10
Thanks! A better version is in the works ;)
redish-black colours possibly look bit "stressed" than relaxing in my case. While I like its story, found bit of a typo there & "stop lying to me" (prev. question about breaking into the house would be noticeable) & "why did you abandon me" & "you are wrong" (prev. line: if I was in your home) & "be honest" (reference to ambulance-car arriving rather quick or slow), just gets some "null"-answers able to choose from.
I'd prefer quite more info about that "apartment", because if I choose to be non-human, why the NPC asks me about living in a house xD no cave or spaceship, universe or owning a planet?
I noticed that typo as well. Thanks for the feedback though! A fixed and more ominous version is coming soon. I'll clean up some of the questions to make more sense xD
It still looks cool in its way and I guess the method of just 2 paths/options also being easier for coding then getting one into a whole new level or the other line ending in a short one-way instead.
I wanted to do something like that, but the GMS2 version that is in development is already getting confusing with all of the variables I need to use
